Concert and festival lighting

Our concert rig is built around moving head spot and profile fixtures for gobos and aerial beams, zoom LED wash heads for color, 4-cell blinders and strobes for the big moments, and pixel battens for eye candy. It hangs on black box truss or the roof of our mobile stages, runs on our own power distribution and is programmed on a touring-grade console by a lighting designer who has done festivals, arenas and Red Rocks.

Corporate, gala and ballroom lighting

For general sessions, award dinners and galas we light the stage so it reads on camera and in the room: profile fixtures with lens tubes for keylight, LED wash for the set, pin spots on the centerpieces and battery LED uplights around the walls. Decor lighting, gobo projections of your logo, chandelier washes and dance-floor looks come from the same truck, with a programmer who runs cues from rehearsal through the after party.

Truss, rigging and power

We carry black 12, 15 and 20 inch box truss, pre-rig truss, corner blocks and base plates, plus quarter-ton to one-ton chain hoists and motor controllers for flown rigs. Where a ballroom has no rigging points we build ground-supported goal posts and use crank lifts. Power distribution, feeder, dimming, DMX networking and wireless DMX are in stock, and our rigging lead signs off on every hang.

Film lighting, decor fixtures and effects

Beyond the stage we rent bi-color LED panel and COB fixtures with softboxes for interviews and photo ops, battery LED tubes for installations, balloon lights for outdoor sites, hazers and foggers for beams, and cold-spark fountains, CO2 jets, kabuki drops and confetti for reveals. Every effect comes with the fire-marshal paperwork and an operator.

What comes with every lighting rental

A designer or programmer

Someone who plots the rig, programs the console and runs cues, from a 10-fixture ballroom to a festival main stage.

A pre-visualized plot

Fixture positions, truss and power drawn before load-in so the venue and your producer can sign off.

Riggers and stagehands

Our rigging lead hangs and inspects every motor and truss span, with hands scaled to the build.

Power and cabling

Distribution, feeder, DMX and network cabling are spec'd with the rig, not borrowed from the venue.

Effects paperwork

Haze, fog, cold spark and CO2 come with the fire-marshal documentation and an operator.

Spares and a tech on site

Spare fixtures, lamps and cable ride on the truck and a lighting tech stays through the show.

How renting lighting works

Step 1

Share the venue and the look

Room or site, dates, stage size and a few reference photos of the look you want.

Step 2

We design and quote

A plot, fixture list, truss and power plan and a quote, usually the same business day.

Step 3

Load-in, hang and focus

Riggers hang the truss, techs focus and address fixtures, the programmer builds cues at rehearsal.

Step 4

Show and strike

Cues run live, then the rig comes down and loads out on your schedule.

FAQ

Lighting rental questions

What kind of event lighting do you rent?

Moving head spots, profiles and LED wash heads, LED pars and pixel battens, ellipsoidal profiles with lens tubes, fresnels, blinders, strobes, followspots, battery LED tubes and uplights, hazers and consoles, plus the truss, motors and power to hang and run them.

Can I rent lighting without a technician?

Small packages such as uplights, battery tubes or a few LED pars can go out dry for pickup at our Salt Lake City warehouse. Anything hung from truss, flown or programmed comes with our rigger and lighting technician.

How much does event lighting rental cost in Utah?

Fixtures rent per unit per day and a lighting package is quoted with truss, power, cabling, crew and transport. A ballroom uplighting package starts small; a festival rig with moving lights and a designer is priced per show. Send the venue, dates and a reference look and we will quote it the same business day.

Do you provide a lighting designer?

Yes. Our designers pre-visualize the plot, program on a professional console and run cues live. For corporate shows they work from your run of show; for concerts they build looks per song.

Can you hang lights in a ballroom with no rigging points?

Yes. We build ground-supported truss goal posts with base plates and ballast or use crank lifts, which is how most hotel ballrooms along the Wasatch Front get lit.

Do you rent uplighting for weddings and galas?

We do. Battery LED uplights in any color, pin spots for tables, gobo projection of a monogram or logo and dance-floor lighting are our most common decor package.

Do you have outdoor-rated lighting for festivals?

Yes. IP-rated LED fixtures, weather-covered moving lights, outdoor power distribution and truss or mobile-stage roofs for the hang, with a wind and weather plan for the show.

How far in advance should we book lighting?

Two weeks is comfortable for most packages. Summer festival weekends, December galas and moving-light-heavy rigs book out a month or more, so lock dates early.
