Who we are
Fat Fish Media Group ("Fat Fish Media", "we", "us") is an event production company headquartered at 781 North 6715 West #804, Salt Lake City, UT 84116. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit fatfishmedia.com or contact us, how we use it and the choices you have. Questions about it can be sent to hello@fatfishmedia.com.
This policy covers our website and the ways we communicate with prospective and current clients, vendors and job applicants. It does not cover the websites of third parties we link to, which have their own privacy policies.
Information we collect and how we use it
Information you give us. When you request a quote, fill in a contact or RSVP form, email or call us, we collect what you provide: typically your name, company, email address, phone number, event dates, venue and a description of what you need.
- Information collected automatically. Our site is hosted on Webflow and uses Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. These tools record pages viewed, time on page, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, the referring site and, in Clarity's case, anonymized session recordings and heatmaps of how pages are used.
- Cookies. The analytics tools above set cookies to recognize repeat visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work.
- Business contact information. For sales outreach we may use publicly available business contact details and third-party business databases, limited to work contact information.
How we use information. We use it to respond to your inquiry and prepare quotes, to plan and deliver events you book with us, to send occasional updates about our work if you have asked for them, to understand how the website is used so we can improve it, and to meet legal and accounting obligations.
Sharing. We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business and the website, such as Webflow for hosting, Google and Microsoft for analytics, our email, CRM and payment providers, and with venues, vendors and crew when that is necessary to produce your event. Each may use the information only to provide their service to us.
Data retention
We keep inquiry and client records for as long as we have a business relationship with you and for the period afterwards that tax, accounting and legal requirements call for. Analytics data is retained according to the default retention settings of Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, and we may keep aggregated statistics that no longer identify anyone indefinitely.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing hello@fatfishmedia.com. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on and limit cookies in your browser settings. Residents of states with consumer privacy laws, including the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, have the rights those laws provide and may exercise them through the same email address.
Security and children
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections to our website and access controls on our systems, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
