Stage decks and risers

Our core inventory is 4x8 and 4x4 stage decks that lock together into any footprint, from a single DJ riser to a 40 by 60 foot festival stage. Fixed legs run 8 to 24 inches and adjustable legs take platforms up to 6 feet, with black or carpeted tops rated for indoor and outdoor use. Every build ships with the stairs, code-compliant guardrails, skirting and ADA ramps it needs, and our crew levels and inspects it before anyone steps on.

Mobile stages with hydraulic roofs

For festivals, block parties, fairs and outdoor concerts we own hydraulic-roof mobile stages in four sizes, from a 24 by 20 foot community stage to a 50 by 38 foot main stage with room for video wings. One truck delivers it and a certified crew has it show-ready in a few hours. The roof carries lighting and a line-array PA, the structure is engineered for wind and weather, and we handle ballast, wind monitoring and the drawings cities ask for.

Backdrops, pipe and drape, and scenic

Dress the stage with black powder-coated pipe and drape from 3 to 16 feet tall, grey or black velour truss drape, printed step-and-repeat walls, backlit fabric frames and custom scenic flats. We build branded step units, podiums, photo-op structures and full conference stage sets in our Salt Lake City shop, so the stage, the backdrop and the signage arrive on the same truck.

Lighting, sound and video on the same quote

Most stage rentals leave with more than decking. We add truss and moving lights, a line-array PA, an LED video wall or projection, camera risers and the power distribution and cabling to run it, all from our own inventory with one crew and one invoice. If the show streams or airs, our broadcast trucks park beside the stage. Ask for a package quote for the whole stage.

What comes with every stage rental

Delivery, build and strike

Our crew trucks the stage to your site, levels and builds it, inspects it and takes it down when the show is over.

A layout drawing

We draw the footprint, height, stairs and access so the venue, the fire marshal and your planner all see the same stage.

Stairs, rails and skirting to code

Guardrails, handrails, ADA access and skirting are specified with the deck count, not added at the last minute.

A weather and wind plan

Outdoor stages get ballast, wind monitoring and a published shutdown threshold before anyone performs on them.

Power, lighting, sound and video

Truss, moving lights, line-array PA, LED walls and power distribution come from the same warehouse on the same invoice.

A lead on site

A Fat Fish stage lead stays through load-in, show and strike, with stagehands scaled to the build.

How renting a stage works

Step 1

Tell us about the event

Date, venue, headcount and what happens on stage: a DJ, a keynote, a 12-piece band or a graduating class.

Step 2

We spec and quote it

Deck count, height, stairs, rails and crew, usually quoted the same business day with a drawing attached.

Step 3

Delivery and build

Our crew delivers, levels, builds and inspects the stage on your load-in day.

Step 4

Show and strike

We stay on call through the event, then strike and load out on your schedule.

FAQ

Stage rental questions

What size stage can you build?

Anything from a single 4x8 riser to a 40 by 60 foot festival stage. Decks come in 4x8 and 4x4 and lock together, so we build to the footprint your room or site allows, at heights from 8 inches to 6 feet. Mobile stages run from 24 by 20 feet to 50 by 38 feet.

Does stage rental include delivery and setup?

Yes for anything beyond a few decks. Our crew delivers, builds, levels, inspects and strikes the stage, and we add stairs, rails and skirting as part of the build. Small riser orders can be picked up at our Salt Lake City warehouse.

How much does it cost to rent a stage in Utah?

Stage decks rent per piece per day, with legs, stairs, rails and skirting as add-ons and delivery and crew quoted separately. A mobile stage is quoted as a package with transport and certified crew. Send us the size, height and dates and we will price it the same business day.

Can the stage be used outdoors?

Yes. Our decks are rated for indoor and outdoor use, and the mobile stages are engineered for wind and weather loads. For outdoor shows we handle ballast, wind monitoring and the stamped drawings venues and cities often ask for.

Where do you deliver stages?

Salt Lake City, Park City, Provo, Orem, Ogden, Lehi and the rest of the Wasatch Front as standard, plus St. George and Logan. For full productions we truck staging to Las Vegas, Denver, Boise and across the country.

How far ahead should we book a stage?

Two weeks is comfortable for decks and risers, and a few days is often possible. Mobile stages and festival builds book out a month or more in summer, so reserve dates as soon as you have them.

Do you have ADA ramps, stairs and guardrails?

Yes. We stock ADA ramp packages, transition plates, color-coded ADA legs, 4 and 8 foot stair units with handrails and IBC-compliant guardrails in 4 and 8 foot sections, so every platform passes inspection.

Can you add lighting, sound and video to the stage?

That is most of what we do. Truss and moving lights, line-array PA, LED walls, projection, cameras and power come from the same warehouse, with one crew and one invoice.
